From this site you can buy copies on CD or view on-line images of old and rare books, directories, church records, and a few military books relating to the West Midlands. We also have a few database indexes which we have created in collaboration with Family History Societies, and have started a major project to scan and index the Birmingham Electoral Roll.   In order to help you find what you are looking for, click one of the links or one of the tabs above.

To purchase a facsimile copy of a book on CD, please browse through these pages adding items to your basket as you go. When you are ready, complete any purchase by going to checkout. Please note that post & packing is included for the UK, but for overseas deliveries £1 per CD is added at checkout. We can accept payment either by credit card (which is processed through a secure server at WorldPay) or by a bank cheque paid in GB £'s sterling.

You can also purchase facsimile copies of most of our titles through The Parish Chest if you prefer. The Parish Chest is a well-known premier family history, genealogy and online bookstore.

To view images of a book on-line, you will need to register with us and either purchase vouchers or a subscription. You can do both from the "Books on-line" menu above. To register, selecting the "Log on" option from the drop-down menu and you will be presented with a log on screen, with an option to register. Once you have resitered and logged on, you can then purchase Vouchers or a Subscritpion by selecting the relevant item from the same drop down menu.

You can Search the text of all the books using keywords, or perhaps the name of an individual whose background you are researching. The text database has been generated using optical character recognition software from the 300,000+ pages we have scanned so far (you will need to register to use this search facility).

If you are not yet ready to purchase but want to be kept informed as we release new titles, please subscribe to our newsletter by following the link. If you just want to see new releases from June 2003 onwards, please follow the link

Finally, there some databases created by the organiser of this project during his own family history research. They relate to the ABRAHAM and ABRAHAMS family in and around Birmingham, and cover the period from 1837 to about 1930. Access to these is free.
